About Me

I have been sewing since I was very young. My mother taught me to sew (she was a professional seamstress), and it's something I've always enjoyed doing. I've sewn my own clothes for years, and a few years ago, I discovered the joys of quilting and sewing home accessories and making handbags. I began making these items as gifts and to sell at a local holiday bazaar. I got positive feedback and decided to open this online shop.

I live with two cats (Monty and Biloxi), who often hang out with me in my sewing room--most often sleeping in a corner while I work (when not stealing my seam ripper!).

I sew with four Husqvarna Viking sewing machines. Most of my piecing, some of my quilting, and all my embroidery and applique is done with a Designer SE. Basic piecing is done with a Freesia 425. I use my Mega Quilter to quilt larger pieces. I use my Huskylock 936 when making clothing and home dec items. I also own my late mother's 1974 Viking machine.
