About Me

I have been sewing since I was very young. My mother taught me to sew (she was a professional seamstress), and it's something I've always enjoyed doing. I've sewn my own clothes for years, and a few years ago, I discovered the joys of quilting and sewing home accessories and making handbags. I began making these items as gifts and to sell at a local holiday bazaar. I got positive feedback and decided to open this online shop.

My business was named by my husband, Ron. We live with three cats (Toby, Shadow, and Buffy), who often hang out with me in my sewing room--most often sleeping in a corner while I work (when not stealing my seam ripper!).

I sew with four Husqvarna Viking sewing machines. Most of my piecing, some of my quilting, and all my embroidery and applique is done with a Designer SE. Basic piecing is done with a Freesia 425. I use my Mega Quilter to quilt larger pieces. I use my Huskylock 936 when making clothing and home dec items.
