I teach quilting classes in my large, well-equipped quilting studio in my home in Chambersburg. I will teach you eveything you need to know to make your first quilt!

Classes start often. Contact me for dates or classes not listed here. You can register for each class using the PayPal button below each class description.

Quilting--The Basics
4 Hours; $40

Students will learn to rotary cut, sew a 1/4" seam, press correctly, and make a single quilt block.

Subsequent classes will add onto the techniques used in this class.

Saturday, Feb 11, 8 – Noon

All supplies are included for this class, except a sewing machine. Many fabric combinations are available. If you need to rent a sewing machine, contact me. A limited number of sewing machine rentals are available for $10 during the class.

Quilting by Machine--Half-Square Triangles
3 hours; $40 + Supplies

  • Learn various methods for making half-square triangles
  • Learn how to Fussy cut squares
  • Project will be small wall hanging that uses pinwheels and fussy-cut novelty prints

Quilting by Machine--Flying Geese
3 hours; $40 + Supplies

  • Learn various methods for making flying geese
  • Project will be a flying geese border added to wallhanging made in previous lesson or other center block/quilt of student’s choice.

Quilting by Machine--Table Runner
3 hours; $40 + Supplies

Complete a quilt-as-you-go table runner in your favorite fabric. A quick and easy project—you’ll want to make one for yourself and multiples for gifts!
