I have been sewing since I was very young. My mother taught me to sew (she was a professional seamstress), and it's something I've always enjoyed doing. I've sewn my own clothes for years, and a few years ago, I discovered the joys of quilting.

I branched out into teaching quilting and designing my own quilts. Some of my quilts have won awards. I currently teach quilting in my home quilting studio, located in Chambersburg, PA, and at the Army War College in Carlisle, PA.

I live with my significant other, Joe, and our five cats (Monty, Biloxi, Rita, Boo, and Dust Mop), who often hang out with me in my sewing room--most often sleeping in a corner while I work (when not stealing my seam ripper!).

I sew with four Husqvarna Viking sewing machines. Most of my piecing, some of my quilting, and all my embroidery and applique is done with a Designer SE. Basic piecing is done with a Freesia 425. I use my Mega Quilter to quilt larger pieces. I use my Huskylock 936 when making clothing and home dec items. I also own my late mother's 1974 Viking machine.
